The Small Business Development Center in Columbia is teaming up with the University of South Carolina’s Technology Incubator to promote a full schedule of training in 2016 for entrepreneurs new and seasoned. All SBDC topics will be open to the public for registration beginning in January. A copy of January’s activity schedule is available for download.
Topics will continue throughout the year based on feedback from the business community. January will start out with a session on business financials, what they are, where to find them, and generally, how to read them and some of the basic analysis you can do using ratios on your company’s numbers.
A second session in January will discuss Effective eCommerce. There are so many ways to sell online these days so, what are some strategies small business owners can use without breaking the bank or taking up a ton of time? This session will share some ideas on how to sell efficiently while encouraging input from the crowd on best practices or past experiences.
The USC Tech Incubator will host all the sessions at the 1225 Laurel Street location. Members of the tech incubator will have direct access to all SBDC and incubator specific sessions and are encouraged to register online to reserve a seat. If you are not a member of the incubator and would like more information on how to become a member, please contact Earl Gregorich at the SBDC (firstname.lastname@example.org).
